Design book review

So, the end of year is drawing frightfully closer, and us design students are compiling our best works to add to our portfolios. The book Building Design Portfolios talks to design leaders who have experience in creating their own portfolios, as well as to those who have judged and scored a whole range of them!
The award winning designer of the book, Sarah Eisenman, has reviewed countless numbers of portfolios, as has taught at the Rhode Island School of Design.

She has also worked as an Art Director, and has had to hired many young designers. Eisenman is a valid source for advice on addressing what sells, and what doesn't.

Building Design Portfolios uncovers tips and tricks that have won the admiration of clients, as well as the must avoid moves that will only strike off job offers. There is advice on resumes, websites, PDF portfolios, promotional books, print portfolios and overall portfolio presentations. The best part of the book, in my opinion, is the fantastic pages of inspiration.
Check it out!
