Where the wild things are

Here is a crazy collection of images I have gathered from ffffound.

In school we used to do these drawings. One person would begin to draw a head, and then fold the page over so their work wasn't visible and pass it on. This would continue until the last person had added the feet, and then we would open the page up and view everyone's contributions as one picture of a figure... Always hilarious.
But this idea of a book is brilliant, I love it!

I like the colour in this. Very interesting photograph.

Ridiculously cute, and what a great composition. The monochromatic effect works so well here.

I think these tiles are really beautiful, and are so creatively used to decorate this space. I'm usually not the biggest fan of mosaics, but this is great.

Everything beautiful

These beautiful images are just two from a glorious editorial spread in the Spanish Ae Magazine. The photographer is Moises González, but in my opinion, the real credit goes to Kattaca. Kattaca is responsible for the art direction, styling, digital art, as well as the highly impressive illustration. I love the combination of mixed media, this is a complete art work.

Ah, nostaliga... Retro gaphic design

How cool are these retro take-away coffee cups and bags?
I like how they have applied a Victorian style to a contemporary product.
The Victorian age truly valued symmetry and idealized romance. These products are clearly reminiscent of the era because of the highly fussy, intricate, detailed and beautifully refined illustrations.

I think it works because it is so different from usual packaging. The simple colour pallet actually stands out from the aggressive, loud designs of most take-away food places.
This design was probably aiming to create this: a beautiful yet classy alternative. I imagine it would attract those who are less fond of big chain-stores that rely on overly processed goods.
These designs, found on behancenetwork, give each product a special individual feel. . Now everyone can feel like a princess whilst grabbing some take-away.

How beautiful are these patterns? I love everything about them.
Ukrainian artist Eva Revolver is definitely one to watch out for. Not only is she a brilliant pattern designer and illustrator, she also makes incredible cutesy toys.

I love the use of the old-school photograph with the obvious Photoshop manipulation. The added colour transforms the work from an just an image, to an art work.

Okay, so I'm a complete sucker for cheesy sayings in pretty pictures...This adorable piece (featured on Ffffound) included.

I first noticed this on Behancenetwork, though since then it's been popping up it's pretty head on similar based sites.
Gorgeous fairy-tale like picture, almost looks like it belongs in a children's book... Well, minus the nudity.

I came across this photograph on the Lonely Planet website, while looking up information for my trip to Asia. Brilliant colour, great contrast AND monkeys. What more could you want?


This is by a Latvian design company called Studio43. A little bit pin-up, a little bit kitsch. It gets my approval.

Also from Ffffound.com, yet not a piece of cheese here. Bold, direct and straight to the point. Whether you find this personally inspiring, or are inspired to shove it in said jerk's face, you can't deny that it is ridiculously cool.
